Nominate a Catapulted Leader... 

The Catapulted Leader Award is given yearly to individuals who have been thrown in over their head and survived. This award acknowledges those individuals who accepted great responsibility and met it head on.

Please nominate someone who has faced this challenge during the last 12 months. (You can nominate only one person in each category and only one at a time.)   

Possible reasons to nominate:

• Went from managing 5 to 100
• Faced major decisions beyond their experience
• Achieved a great success under demanding conditions
• Went from a standard project to a huge project
• Jumped from managing something local to regional or national to global
• Had to get significantly more done with less resources
• Created a turnaround of a bad situation
• And, many other situations

This year’s categories:
     1. Political (elected or appointed officials)
     2. Non-profit (teachers, police, hospital, government, charities, etc)
     3. For profit (large, medium, and small companies)
     4. Other (someone who does not fit any particular category, but made a great leap)

Selection Criteria:
Nominees are reviewed for magnitude of the leap and the impact they achieved (or are currently achieving).

• “Three of my top employees quit within a month of me accepting this job.”

• “I went from managing a highly technical product to managing a bunch of independently minded engineers.”

• “I went from managing one product to being the VP.”

• “I didn’t even want the job of supervisor, but they needed someone to take it on.”

• “I left my secure corporate job and started my own company.”

• “I went from managing 5 people to 300 overnight.”
