Welcome to the Catapulted Leadership Assessment
Each section provides five key questions from Catapulted that are predictors of success. Compare your scores for each level: individual, team, and organization. Ideally, you want high scores across all three levels for the same question. If you find you are low in one area, focus on what it would take to bring that score up.

Self 23-25 You are a rare breed. You have the clarity and effort needed to really get things done. Your example sets the tone for everyone on your team. Keep up the good work! You could be the role model for the next book.
20-22 You are on the right track. However, even slightly lower scores mean that you are missing out on establishing priorities for everyone to follow. By putting more effort to achieve 5s in all areas, you will gain the slight edge that builds more committed teams and delivers results. Put more effort into lower scores while maintaining your high scores.
15-19 You may be overwhelmed with all the “stuff” that has to be done. Your people probably have to either come to you regularly for direction or they may be wasting time trying to figure out what is important. Your own development may be at risk. Focus on clarifying the destination first and then proceed to the other areas.
14 and Less. You may lack direction from above, have a difficult team, or be in over your head. In any case, you are avoiding the very things that will make you successful. You may be very frustrated with how overwhelming all the responsibilities are. Focus on clarifying the destination first and then proceed to the other areas.

Team 23-25 Your team appreciates the clarity you have provided and they are able to effectively make decisions even when you aren’t around.
20-22 Your team is probably effective but could use more focus. By taking team time to clarify priorities with your team in each of the areas, they will gain an edge in being able to work faster and more effective. Small efforts can produce huge gains.
15-19 Your team is probably confused on priorities. They may waste time on lower value activities without even knowing it. Focus on clarifying the destination first and then proceed to the other areas.
14 and Less. Your team needs your time and clarity. Identify obstacles that are keeping you from providing focus. If needed, get assistance from your boss or peer managers. Stop avoiding your real job. Focus on clarifying the destination first and then proceed to the other areas.

Organization Score 23-25 Your organization has created the foundation for you and your team to make decisions. Show appreciation for those leaders who have made sure these things are happening. Share the information so others can have clarity and make better decisions.
20-22 Your organization is on track but mixed signals could be in the air. You may get by with this level as an individual or team level but at the organizational level the consequences spread through out the company. Meet with your boss and find out the priorities from the organization view. If your boss isn’t sure, work together to tactfully get answers.
15-19 Your organization is missing an opportunity to get commitment from all levels. They may assume people already know or are pushed by a crisis and are focusing on short-term issues. In any case, time should be invested in making priorities clear and communicating these across the organization. Information needs to move from the leaders’ minds to be shared knowledge across the organization. Focus on clarifying the destination first and then proceed to the other areas.
14 and Less. Your organization needs to get clear on priorities. It is likely that people are unable to make decisions effectively. Focus on clarifying the destination first and then proceed to the other areas.
